Imagery of Sacrifice in The School Children    Sacrifice. One simple word brings to mind two completely different images.   Today, sacrifice is most often thought of as a noble and beautiful act, but also one painful-emotionally, mentally, and physically-involving the surrender of something highly valued for the sake of something deemed of superior value.   On the other hand, when done in the name of religion, sacrifice may involve the offering of a gift to some deity in worship or propitiation.   Usually when sacrifice involves the latter, the connotation of the term darkens, for the dominant image is of ritual slaughter. Generally, we do not think of mothers or children as being the victims of this type of sacrifice. Imagery in Louise Glà ¼ck s poem   The School Children,   however, depicts mothers sacrificing their offspring and themselves for the benefit of the children.      Ã‚  Ã‚   The first stanza begins by stating,   The children go forward .   They are leaving their mothers behind, going to a place inaccessible to them.   At the moment the children are on their way to school, but as they progress, they will begin to move past the achievements of their parents.   Instead of becoming resentful, the mothers do all they can to ensure this progress continues.  Ã‚   All morning the mothers have labored .   They exert themselves strenuously for the benefit of their children.   They put forth much time and energy at manual labor. The mothers labored in giving birth to their children, and are laboring to raise them to adulthood.   They sacrifice themselves so that their children may have a future better than their own.      Ã‚  Ã‚  ... ...d, for the fruit trees   gray limbs do not provide much   ammunition   in their battle for their children s future.   The mothers will not be able to earn enough money at such menial jobs to provide escape for their offspring or for themselves.   Escape will in the end hang on the aptitude and resilience of the children.      Ã‚  Ã‚   The School Children   presents a heartbreaking depiction of sacrifice and devotion.   In a few short lines, Louise Glà ¼ck portrays the desperate love of mothers for their children. In short, traditional medicine is the practice of health care based on traditional philosophy and the use of traditional medicine. In Africa, it presents as a holistic health care strategy which relies on an accumulation of knowledge of herbs and remedies which include plants, insects, and parts of animals. Traditional African healing is intertwined with traditional religions and spirituality. In Africa, traditional healing is administered by two different types of practitioners: sangoma (also called ngoma)—spiritual healers and diviners— and inyanga—herbalists. Although Africa is a continent of diverse cultures and tribes, traditional healers such as these exist across continent, providing 80% of the care for the population. From this information, it is evident that traditional healing is a important practice in the experience of a modern Af rican. Inyanga and sangoma perform different functions, treating different types of ailments. Inyanga are usually consulted for problems that are a result of a natural misfortune, such as routine illness or injury. They will treat the ailment with a traditional remedy made from medicinal herbs or mixtures of animal parts. Although anyone who wishes to, may become and inyanga, approximately 90% are male. Generally, a man wishing to become an inyanga will apprentice himself to a practicing inyanga before opening his own shop. The painting, George Washington Crossing the Delaware is an interesting and well done portrait of one of the most important events in American history. The painting depicts the American revolutionary forces as they cross the Delaware River on their way to fight an important battle against the British army. There are several important and interesting details of the painting that indicate important historical details and also serve to enhance the look of the painting. The most interesting thing is the attention to detail itself. The artist obviously took a great deal of time to research the history itself and get the event correct down to every single thing he could find. This is evidenced by the ice in the river and also the decorations on the uniforms. In addition to that, light plays a very important role in the painting. Sunlight is breaking into the picture in the background of the painting and it shines directly on George Washington. This is important because it puts the focus of the painting on George Washington and also because it adds some depth to the painting. The painting takes great care to show the absolute struggle that the Patriots had to go through just to get to the battle. Paddling those full boats would not have been easy under normal conditions, but it was especially difficult under the cold, icy conditions that were present. The painter shows that almost every person on the boat had to work as hard as they possibly could in order to make the boat go. This is important in both a historical sense and in the context of creating an interesting painting.

In our country, Egypt, work, studies, and family life have a huge impact. In our culture earlier, it was all about family life. Staying with the family, taking care of each other, spend time with each other, work together in the family business. But nowadays studies and work have become a crucial point in our life. People are more focused on their career and less focused on their spending time with their family. People are becoming career conscious and want to achieve more and more in their life and never want to stop dreaming and chasing their goals. Children want good studies so a large number of students are spending a large amount of money to study in different countries because it's very hard to get scholarships from the country. For work, they are spending more time on their work rather than spending some quality time with their friends and family since the work pressure is increasing, so the desire to make money is first and foremost among people. But in reality there should be a total balance of the studies, work and family time, people should complete their studies first so that they can do the work in which they are interested in. along with that, they should spend some quality time with their friends and family. My personal emphasize lies in the study, work, and family life in that order. I want to develop my skills by studying computer science. Education is really important for me. I need to equip myself with competitive computer skills. As a result, I would have a higher chance to get a Promising future. After graduation, I would have more chances for interviews offered by promising companies. As a new student, I got full support from my family. Riding a skateboard can be both fun and dangerous; skateboarders can suffer from serious injury. The first step in this process is of course to grab a skateboard or purchase one. Do not buy a skateboard from Wal-Mart; Wal-Mart skateboards are cheaply made. Recommended brands are Element, Birdhouse, Rob Drydek boards, etc.Also a good place to buy skateboards is a local bike shop or the store called Zumiez. Second find a suitable place to ride your board such as a paved street or a local skate park. Third check weather conditions before riding; sunny weather is the best. Starting out by putting one foot in the middle of the board, then use one foot and propel forward. Then put both feet on the board equally spaced apart. Balance by concentrating body weigh t to the middle of the board. Next to turn the board lean to the† right† or† left,† but do not lean too far.Skateboards are not equipped with brakes so in order to break, use one foot and scrape shoe across the ground. Then when stopped use one foot, kick the front of the board up to grab a hold of it when finished. After learning how to ride a skateboard, one can then learn how to do tricks; such as the Ollie, the kick flip, and the trade flip. An Ollie is the basic trick that one must learn in order to perform any other trick. To perform an Ollie, put one foot close to the front of the diagonally and the other foot on the back of the board diagonally.Then kick the back of the board down while sliding front foot up the front of the board and using one leg to push out when landing.. The board will jump up in the air. The board must land on all four wheels for the trick to be successful. These steps are important to avoid serious injury.
